Wild & Unwritten: Colorful Picnic Elopement | Secret Beach | Kauai, Hawaii

We’re kinda laughing as we write this one, ya anna know why? Because we had other. plans. for. sure. We were going to do a more muted color palette—we had plans of this being a “black and blue picnic beach shoot”, but alas, that didn’t work out. Before we jump into what we did to fix it, let me tell you what went wrong so you can get on our level: two really important pieces for the shoot came in in two. different. shades. of. blue. Like, not the kinda thing that works and looks purposeful, no, it looked bad together, so kewl. Then, the flowers came in and weren’t as true to color as we had hoped (always a risk with flowers). So, kewl again.

But ya know what?! Ya gotta just make due. Ya gotta get it together, pick up the pieces and make a new plan. SO WE DID!

We foraged for new flowers (eeeeeek, so exhilarating). We switched up the plan for food. And we did it with a smile on our faces, and actually, we think it turned out better this way.

Okay, okay, without anymore chit chat, here are the results…

Tell us what you think! Seriously, reading your comments bring smiles to all three of our faces (and even our moms’ faces!).
