Lo + Connor // An Intimate Wedding // Kingston, WA // Bixby + Pine

Lo and Connor had gotten engaged earlier this year during summer. We had set the wedding date for an intimate gathering for September 2nd, 2018--plenty of time to do all of the things we wanted to do: custom build tables, hand-sew napkins, design the perfect day for a couple we LOVE (our brother and his soon-to-be-wife, who had our hearts a long long time ago).

Lauren basically had one request, and that was for Samantha McFarlen to shoot her wedding (which had us doing a happy dance--that'd make three weddings with Sammy Mac for 2018 and we were pumped!).

As the diagnosis came through of my grandma and the family meeting occurred, the meaning of an intimate wedding changed for us.

18 people: Lauren. Connor. My grandpa. My grandma. My mom. My dad. His fiance. My uncle. My aunt. My other uncle. My cousin. My other cousin. Our foreign exchange student. My sister. Her boyfriend. Lauren's sister. Lauren's best friend. Myself. My boyfriend.

A local park. A slew of beautiful furniture. A handmade arbor. A carpet at the alter. A polaroid camera to snap photos of each guest. A dress. A bouquet. And a bottle of champagne.

Jordan officiated the wedding with a beautiful speech, letting them know that they were the lucky ones.

Their engagement photos and video turned out so beautifully, that waiting for wedding images was HARD. These photos brought us to tears.

Afterwards, we celebrated with Central Market pizza and ice cream cake, and plenty of wine and champagne. The night was full of love, laughter, and several toasts to the new couple. We couldn't be more blessed to have Lauren officially join our family.

This was one of the best days of my life, and I think many of us felt that way.
