Friendlies! It's ALREADY December. What. In. The. World.
We have been so busy (and unbusy) in the best of ways. We have had time to be with our families, and spend time with each other and our friends. We've had time to get to know Clarke (her birth story is coming, we promise) and watch AJ turn into a big sister. We've had time to work on some 2018 wedding design proposals (a HUGE process). And we've had time to make fauxjitos and eat Grub Hut together.
Our season of gratitude didn't end with Thanksgiving, no, instead, it ramped itself up. We're thankful for many things, and we count our blessings daily.
Here's what December looks like for us:
- Blogging. Lots of blogging. But, hey, that's great right--because it means we get to show off some of the things we've been working on over the past few months.
- Vlogging. WTF is that?! Well, video + blogging = vlogging (cool, right?!). Insta-stories is fun because our level of crazy is gone in 24 hours. But now, it's going to be on YouTube, for the masses to see (okay, okay, it's probably just our moms who watch us), but still, a little nerve-wracking to say the least. More on that later. Anyways, if you wanna check it out, click here to see Jordan's top-knot tutorial and here for our first day in Palm Desert for our workation!
- A Company Christmas Party! Well, this isn't going to be as grand as future parties, but we're starting small with just a few of our closest industry friends, and hosting them for a Company Christmas Party--because you know, this isn't a conventional job with a company party each year, so we thought why not come together and celebrate as one BIG company?!
In case you missed it, here are a few things we wanted to highlight on our blog...
Top 15 Photos From Lexi + Scott's Suncadia Wedding // Sarah Anne Photography // Bixby + Pine
It's no secret that Lexi + Scott's Suncadia wedding was a 2017 favorite, and guess. what. It's going to be published in Seattle Bride Magazine in just a couple months (insert all the happy dances and excited shrieks here). But, we haven't blogged it yet (because of the aforementioned). So today, their photographer Sarah of Sarah Anne Photography is guest blogging, and when we got her blog post in, we started blushing because man oh man, you'll just have to read it for yourself! Hint: She LOVES us, which is good because the feeling is mutual! See more here.
A Hearth & Hand Christmas Tablescape // Bixby + Pine
Can you believe how close we are to the end of the year?! OMG it's insane. BUT, before we roll through Christmas and New Years, we wanted to show off how YOU can dress up your Christmas dinner table, using some pieces from the new Hearth & Hand Magnolia line at Target. See more here.
Vendor Love: Thank You Notes // Bixby + Pine
After a wedding or styled shoot, there are a couple of things we try to do. They're not always done immediately, but we strive to get them done in a timely manner, and one of those things is showing gratitude. This blog post feels super fitting since Thanksgiving just happened ;)
The gratefulness you show to vendors you love afterwards has an impact. Have you ever received a thank you card in the mail? How did it make you feel? The answer is probably somewhere around "pretty damn good!" See more here.
Alright friends--thanks for hanging out with us on the FIRST OF FREAKING DECEMBER! And be sure to stay tuned tomorrow because we have a haunting winter shoot with Sarah Anne Photography at Mountain Haven (an up and coming venue!).
