So, there I was, on my couch, wracking my brain on what I would get the girls for Christmas. You see, we all have this problem where if we want something, we just go out and buy it. Yes, we are very fortunate that this is our reality…but it gives gift givers a hell of a time trying to surprise us with a gift (just ask our significant others). I really wanted to avoid giving them another goddamn blanket, in another goddamn basket—this is our usual go too—and I love it don’t get me wrong, but this year especially it seemed so fake.
If you have been keeping up with our rough year you already know that my mom was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder, and Susie (Taylor and Jordan’s grandma—my surrogate grandma) passed away from cancer just this last fall. This still weighs heavily on all of our hearts so instead of another goddamn blanket in another goddamn basket we all decided it was time for a change.
This is the year that we decided we would instead gift to families that are in need this holiday season.
Im curious, what are you go-to gifts? Anything you switched up this year? Do you bless another family? Tell us!
